Welcome to Glenwood!

We’re excited to have you join our community and enjoy what our unique location and neighborhood has to offer. Glenwood is a great place to enjoy all of Marin — whether you’re looking for peace and quiet at the base of China Camp State Park, a family hoping to make use of the park and schools, or just looking to meet a few like-minded neighbors on a walk.

Annual dues are just $50 per household and, though optional, around 9 in 10 member-homes contribute. Dues fund education and equipment for Ready Glenwood and other safety programs, while also supporting the social events that help build an engaged, connected community we can lean on in tough times.

Useful Resources for Glenwood Residents

Outdoors & China Camp

Friends of China Camp — Multiple entrances into the park sit right in Glenwood. A yearly pass gets you easy access to hiking and biking trails, a picnic area, and a beach — and your support helps keep Glenwood safe from fire.

McNears Beach — A waterfront park with a beach and swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts. Now free thanks to Measure A.

North San Pedro

Andy’s Market — more than a quick grocery run: Friday nights are lively, and the summer BBQ is a local favorite for the whole family.

Peacock Gap — our neighbor over the ridge, with a park and playground, tennis courts, a friendly dog-owner community, a golf course, and the RangeCafe (a great spot to watch the sunset). Architecture fans should look up Beverly Thorne’s Case Study House #26.

San Rafael

San Rafael City Newsletter — upcoming events and construction updates to keep you in the loop.

Marin Civic Center — the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed building houses the library and local government, and offers tours.

Marin Farmers Market — Thursdays 8am–1pm and Sundays 8am–1pm at the Civic Center. Arrive early in summer!

Dining Under the Lights — summer street closures on 4th Street for bands, outdoor dining, and strolling downtown.
